Bombay Bag House opens at F-19 Kohlapur Road, Kamla Nagar. Founded by Mr. Prakash Kumar with a focus on quality bags and honest service to the people of North Delhi.
First Brand Partnerships
Becomes an authorised retailer of V.I.P. and Samsonite, marking the beginning of our multi-brand identity. Customer footfall doubles within two years as word spreads.
Store Expansion
Expanded to a larger retail floor, accommodating a broader range of brands and categories including ladies handbags and outdoor backpacks from Wildcraft.
20 Brand Milestone
Crossed 20 brand partnerships, cementing our position as Delhi’s most comprehensive single-destination bag store. Introduced premium fashion brands including Tommy Hilfiger and Caprese.

Bombay Bag House was founded in 1984 by Mr. Prakash Kumar on Kohlapur Road, Kamla Nagar, with a clear mission: give the people of Delhi access to quality bags at honest prices.
What started as a modest store carrying travel bags and school bags grew through word of mouth, repeat customers and an unwavering commitment to genuine products and genuine service.
The families who bought their children’s first school bags here returned years later for office bags, honeymoon luggage and eventually their own children’s school bags. That three-generation loyalty is the true measure of our legacy.
